My wheels have worn out, is this normal? Print E-mail
Yes. DO NOT RETURN TO THE STORE. THIS IS NOT AN ITEM COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. There are several factors that can make your Ripboard wheels wear. First off, check to make sure the casters are not bent against the wheel causing it to touch and/or rub on the wheel. Since the motion of the Ripboard is created by the wheels, casters and the swivelling of the rider the wheels wear out very quickly. This is not a defect but a result of normal wear and tear. The wear and tear effect can be exacerbated by a first time user and wheel longevity should improve with the improvement in skill of the rider. The surface conditions that the Ripboard is being ridden on can also have an effect on the wear and tear of the wheels; rough asphalt for example will cause the wheels to wear out very quickly.
